Education and Parental Rights
As a second-generation homeschooler and father, I know kids deserve to thrive in the environment that best fits their unique needs. School choice is one of the most important civil rights issues of our day. No child should be trapped in an underperforming school simply because he or she lives in the wrong zip code.
I also believe high-paying skilled trades are in dire need in Colorado. College is not for everyone and we should do more to make education accessible on all levels. There’s not single path that’s right for everyone. I support policies that promote and expand access to career technical pathways that provide low cost options to graduating high school seniors and support our local economy.
Finally, I will fight to empower families by breaking down barriers and improving transparency to protect parental rights. Parents have a right to insight into their child’s education and curriculum.
