Public Safety
My 10+ years as a cop in the Arvada Police Department greatly shaped how I view the issue of public safety. Currently, Colorado is the 3rd most dangerous state in the country, one of the worst states for auto theft, and since 2020, illegal drugs like fentanyl have claimed over 7,000 lives in Colorado — twice the death toll of 9/11. I witnessed firsthand how out-of-control our streets are, and I’m fighting back!
It’s not complicated: when you hold criminals accountable, communities will see less crime. When you punish cops and let criminals off with no consequences, you see more crime. Currently our state punishes cops by embracing unsafe defund the police policies and letting dangerous criminals back on the streets. We must empower local law enforcement with the tools they need to keep our communities safe.
